This report examines the progress and obstacles that exist in investigating, prosecuting and adjudicating cases of conflict-related sexual violence within the State level criminal justice system of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). It considers to what extent the legal framework and proceedings conducted to date before the Court of BiH (BiH Court) are succeeding in tackling impunity for sexual violence crimes, and are equal to international standards. The report documents encouraging developments at both State and Entity levels in the processing of crimes of sexual violence during the war and gives detailed recommendations on further changes that are needed.
