Volkskrant newspaper article (in Dutch) highlighting that Dutch ISAF soldiers in Uruzgan, Afghanistan, were repeatedly warned by the NATO command centre that their (planned and ultimately launched) attack on Chora in 2007 might take a high civilian toll. However, the Netherlands ignored the expressed doubts about the legitimacy of their action. The attack took the lives of 50 to 80 innocent men, women and children and injured dozens other civilians.
