This short report by the Oxford Human Rights Hub explains the significance of the Memorial built in Nairobi to victims of the brutalities committed during the British adminstration and the Mau Mau uprising. The monument was promised as one of several reparatory measures agreed upon in an out-of-court settlement between the claimants in the Mutua case (2012 and 2013 – see elsewhere in this section).
